CRCC President's Message for 2024

Greetings Camaro enthusiasts,

As we usher in a new year, it is both an honor and a privilege to serve as the President of the Columbia River Camaro Club for 2024. I want to express my gratitude to our outgoing president, Dalton Carter, for his exceptional leadership and dedication to the club in 2023.

Reflecting on 2023

The past year marked a remarkable rebound for our club, thanks to the hard work and commitment of our members. We successfully navigated through the challenges of the previous years and had the pleasure of reconnecting with familiar faces and welcoming new enthusiasts into our community. The camaraderie at our events, including two fantastic car shows, picturesque drives through the Pacific Northwest, and casual get-togethers, truly exemplified the spirit of our club.

Exciting Events in 2024

As we look ahead to 2024, the Columbia River Camaro Club is gearing up for another exhilarating year of events that celebrate our shared passion for Chevrolet Camaros. Some of the highlights include:

  • Portland Roadster Show (March): We'll proudly participate in this prestigious event, volunteering, and showcasing some of our members' stunning Camaros.

  • Planters Days Cruise (Father's Day Weekend): Our signature event, the cruise in Woodland, WA, promises to be even more special this year. Your presence and support are key to making it a memorable occasion. Please pray for better weather!

  • Horsepower on the Green at Arrowhead Golf: Now for its third year, this event promises a day of high-octane fun against the backdrop of scenic landscapes. Keep an eye on our platforms for more details.

  • Beaches Summer Cruise (June-Sept): Join us every Wednesday throughout the summer. Volunteering and showing the beauty of our Camaros.

  • Angels on Wheels Toy Drive (Second Saturday in Dec): Let's come together to make a difference during the holiday season by contributing to the toy drive for Randal’s Children’s Hospital in Portland.

CRCC's Legacy and Community Involvement

The Columbia River Camaro Club, established in 1982, remains committed to its non-profit status and actively contributes to the local community. Through our fundraising efforts, particularly our car shows, we've been able to support various charitable causes. Hopefully this year Planters Days car show weather cooperates so we can continue the tradition of community engagement.

Our affiliation with the Multnomah Hot Rod Council and participation in events like the Portland Roadster Show and the annual toy drive reflect our dedication to both the car enthusiast community and the broader community we call home.

Beyond Car Shows

The CRCC is not just about car shows; it's a vibrant social club that offers a diverse range of activities. From game nights and mini-golf events to scenic tours of the Pacific Northwest, we embrace the essence of camaraderie. While our common love for Camaros brings us together, it's the friendships and connections formed that truly define our club.

We invite you to be part of our monthly meetings held on the first Tuesday of each month at Elmer's off I205 on Sandy Boulevard.
