Well I’m back again, year three that I have been voted in as President of the CRCC. I’m happy to fill the position and do my best to continue leading the club through 2017. Congratulations to the members that were voted into the various board positions and thank you to those that gave their time previously. The CCRC is thriving with friendly and helpful members from a mix of both new and some that have been around for a while. This group is for Camaro enthusiasts of all ages, all models and in any condition.
Columbia River Camaro Club was started back in 1982 and remains a non-profit organization. Throughout the year we may have some events where funds are collected through raffles and event entry fees, those funds are used right here in the community via charities that the club members vote on. Last year we raised several thousand dollars towards charities and we were able to sponsor a few different families at Christmas. We also contributed toys to the Randall’s Children Hospital toy drive where collected toys and cash donations throughout the year and delivered truckloads of toys this Christmas Season.
The CRCC is so much more than just cruise-ins and car shows. Some of the other events include, go cart racing, bowling, bunco nights, Bar-B-Qs, drag racing and of course car shows and some awesome car cruise events through the beautiful Pacific NW. We are a social club and getting people together for these events is what we are about. Although we are brought together by our cars it's the drivers and family members that keep this club fun and social events are a big part of that.
2017 has brought in the 50th Anniversary Camaro and we have two in the club. I purchased mine in July and was the first one in the NW to take delivery, the second was purchased a week later. These are awesome machines putting down some real power, it truly is a great time for muscle cars!
We meet the first Tuesday of every month at the Delta Park Elmer's and there is no minimum attendance required, we like to think we are a no pressure group at least until we get to know you. If you have any questions please contact us through the site, I try to respond right away but may take a day or two to get back. As always, I look forward to meeting new people and their cars!
