CRCC President's message for 2012
Welcome! As we start our 30th year of the Columbia River Camaro Club, I want to say ‘Thank You’ to all those Camaro enthusiasts that have kept the club going all these years. 1982 does not sound like it was too long ago, but considering we are in our 5th Generation of Camaro, well….
2012 will bring another great Camaro to the forefront – the ZL1. The highest-performing production Camaro of all time. I think any Camaro owner would love to get behind the wheel of that 580-horsepowered beauty. No matter what year Camaro we own, we love to hear about what is next so that we can dream about expanding our garages.
What a great year the club had in 2011 - it was a mix of cruz in, showing and social get together's. The highlights for this year include a successful 2nd annual Ron Tonkin show in July - it was a great turn out; our much anticipated Elk’s Poker Run in June – which was a great drive thru the Columbia River Gorge; and our fall colors run thru the West Cascade Scenic Byway in October – beautiful scenery.
For 2012, we have lots planned - everything from a scenic cruise in May thru Washington County; to our 3rd annual car show at Ron Tonkin in July; to a drive in movie night in August; along with several cruises and social events throughout the year. Check out our calendar of events - there is most likely something that will catch your eye.
Our club has been growing by leaps and bounds these last two years with the start of the 5th Generations. We have made many new friends and anticipate adding more. Please come join us, we meet every first Tuesday for our business meeting or join us for one of our many outings. We love talking about our cars and enjoy the company of those that share our enthusiasm for one of the best cars ever made – Camaro!
Sincerely,
CRCC President 2012
